As a result of her layoff in February 2009, Suzanne created a website which serves as a resource for the unemployed community of Des Moines (Follow us on Twitter).  She writes about everything that the unemployed deal with while going through this difficult time.  Along the way, she includes posts from guest bloggers to offer perspective on different situations.

Suzanne currently works part-time as the Program Coordinator for the Des Moines/Ames Chapters of the Iowa United Nations Association.  She plans events in these communities to promote and advocate for the goals of the United Nations.
